Ever buy a car and feel pretty chuffed about it, right up until the point you reach for the flat blade screwdriver and start to dig a little deeper?  That’s my story with my 1966 1300 Beetle! No one is immune from buying a bit of a Lemon it seems, and I guess I let my ‘gut feeling’ really get the better of me this time...  My plans for this particular car were simple at first. A light ‘visual resto' with a handful of small repairs, some new wings, engine tidy up, interior tidy up and then, one of our...

This is one of those jobs I was hugely keen/excited to take on. A car I've known and appreciated for many years, which has only benefited from it's ownership under Craig Mudd in the last few years.  Craig has recently finished body-off restoring the car, using many new parts and lots of attention to detail both visibly and under the skin of the car... No stranger to a show-quality build, craig has done a great job of re-building this car to a top standard. On rebuild, the pre-existing Type 1 conversion beam with Monroe Air Shocks was re-used up front. This...

One of my own project cars here, my 1995 Mexican Import 1600i Beetle. I’ve always loved these late-model Mexican cars, and this low mileage Pearlescent green example ticked every box for me when I found it in February of this year. It was solid where it really mattered, un-messed-with and oozed pure potential! Some light structural and body work was taken out including: floor pan rear outer corners (around jack point area), rear bumper mounts, front valence, spare wheel well repairs and some small repairs to the front inner wings. Once this work was out of the way, the real...

Probably one of the most known cars in the UK stance scene is Jack Royston’s ‘71 Australian Import Notch. It really has a killer look, with its weathered and beaten up (but still shiny!) ‘Shantung Yellow’ bodywork, awesome race-inspired Kirkey aluminium seats (all trimmed by his parter Vicky!), and those massive 17” BBS RS 3-piece wheels - it’s not a car that goes un-appreciated by many.  It very much ‘gets around’ this car, and has a reputation of just going everywhere without fault and eating up the miles. Jack has travelled Several Euro trips and countless cross country show visits,...

Welcome to our ‘Blogs’ section. I thought this might be a good way to show off some of the cars that pass through the doors of EvaResto, or even share pictures of customers cars that run our parts they’ve fitted themselves.  Nothing too fancy, as I’m far better at Building cars than I am writing anything remotely interesting (should have payed more attention in school!)! So I’ll keep features short and sweet, and just instead add good pictures and detail the work they’ve had.  There’s always updates and pictures of goings-on on our Facebook and Instagram pages, but for those...
